It's all relative. A baby gorilla is "cute but ugly". A Sharpei puppy is "cute but ugly". But, if a human child were to be born with exactly the same features as a baby gorilla or a Sharpei puppy, it would NOT be "cute but ugly". It would be an abomination.

And since most MOABites are, by definition, abominations, it follows that they cannot also be "cute but ugly".
