And it's now beginning to be understood that the imported 'Smoky the Bear' attitudes to the bush have been responsible for the serious damaging bush fires - the original inhabitants not only gradually changed the plants and animals by their 'firestick farming' but continued to upkeep it so that damaging fires did not happen - over the last 200 years we have stuffed that up.
