I see from the new Sidmouth website that The Wurzels have been quietly ditched from the Sidmouth line-up.

I spoke to Alistair from The Battlefield Band in the 'Celtic Connections' bar last week. He didn't seem aware that he was booked for Sidmouth. The manager of Show of Hands also seemed reluctant to talk about their booking. He said they'd originally agreed to appear in the Arena but there are no shows in the Arena now are there.

Thank you to Steve from Sidmouth for keeping us informed but although it is good to see a new Sidmouth website the present list of artists doesn't look very appealing to me.

I haven't yet decided but I'm more inclined to Broadstairs or the new Eastleigh Festival in Hampshire next August instead of returning to Sidmouth again.

One of our best Scottish bands Session A9 say they are booked for both Broadstairs and Eastleigh while The Peatbog Faeries are also at Eastleigh.

Apart from The Battlefield Band I can't see anyone good from Scotland or Ireland booked for Sidmouth.
