Well, Gord Lightfoot has to be one of my very favorites, and it would be hard to just choose one favorite.
Perhaps the Songbook box set would qualify. It has things from his very early days and I can't think of any of my favorite songs that aren't on that box set.
I would say his earlier work is better than his later stuff, but oh well.
