"classic"?.....seems 'modern' to me, and like many modern attempts to capture a topical theme, it goes for the jugular by 'saying' the emotions, rather than allowing the listener to 'find' the point. It doesn't feel like 'folk'...but that argument has already been done to death. It's hard to put on a label, when we just don't agree.

You don't say if the young lady is the author, or just singing it, but her voice, while ok, sounds like she is trying too hard to be moving and emotional....but she IS 18....
