Excellent advice - as ever.

I came to the moandola from the tenor banjo and enoy playing it so much more. I keep trying the tenor but I cannot play it very well and it does have quite a diffrent response to the pick, I guess it demands a more vigorous pick action.

Apart from palying and listening, is their any way of ranking accoustic instruments on a scale of loudness so that better matches can be found?
