Yes to that, Don. Only thing that got broken was my jaw, palate, front teeth and skull. I think what must have saved my life was the crushed gravel at the bottom. Cushioned the fall just enough. But I was unconscious for the whole thing.

So I guess from your experience that you are not a fan of cold baths? Interesting isn't it that one's impending doom occasions the silliest of thoughts. I came close at a fire some years ago and all I could think just before getting out of the place that flashed over was, "I wonder if my lid will melt?"
