Sonnet 17/02/04                            DCCCLXXIX

Time waits for no one, but with each bright dawn
Lends one more day to spend looking for love.
How can I not dream of you, or be drawn
To think of you and send a prayer above?
You are my heart's desire, a muse to hold
The darkness from my soul. You give me all
I need, to defeat fears, and keep me bold
Enough to for new dreams of future call.
All that I seek I see: In you I find
The sum of soul and beauty. Might I share
This happiness, though only within mind:
Do I have chance to all of my dreams bare?
Far more than vision, you are what is real
To heart: How can I less than longing feel?
