Hunter Thompson = Jack Kerouac to my mind--and that is the highest of compliments. It does not matter how he sought to ease the pain, anger, sadness and enlightenments he saw in the negativities and discrepancies of the American life he chronicled. The result was ART, and in it's profound clarity it was a true lie that allowed us to see reality the way it IS, without the moral spin doctor's interpritations. --- As I've mentioned Picasso saying, "Art is a lie that lets us see the truth."
