Very appropriate too. In a previous thread from the last century (year 2000) Who's Hunter Thompson, I wrote:

The singing equivalent of Hunter Thompson I always think of as being Loudon Wainwright the Third - even more than Neil Young. I always remember his concert at Sidmouth a couple of years ago, when half the Town Council sitting on deckchairs in the front row walked out scandalised. He hadn't even set out to shock them, I think. Some people are more fragile than others.

I see I was looking for "Saints and Sots" then too. Has no one out there got it? I think it'd be a good one to sing for Hunter S Thompson.
