And have you ever considered that man may actually BE God...in an extended sense? I mean, that each human is an extension of God...but an extension that imagines itself to be alone. In that imagining, it may be entirely in error. The sense of being alone is what creates the sense of separation and fear of others. That sense of aloneness is the Ego. It lives in constant fear and sense of incompleteness. It looks to others to fill its emptiness.

Christ saw everyone AS himself...accordingly, he treated them with total kindness and forgiveness. That is exactly the sort of behaviour demonstrated by the great saints down through the ages. They look at another human, and they see God in the flesh. They see themselves in the other. Then they can only love and assist that other human being. They do not experience the fear of separation.
