It's nice to read about signs of spring as I look at the snow outside my window. Where I live, outside of Washington, DC, USA, the weather is highly variable. Earlier this week, the temperature was nearly 60 degrees F (about 15 degrees C), and I saw buds showing pink color, with blooms about to open, on a Japanese cherry tree. The buds must be nipped now. :-( Daffodils have come up, but not budded, and I've photographed them for inspiration.
