I would be more ashamed and indignant if Canada had participated than proud because we have refused. Paul Martin was all in favour of kissing George Bush's arse, and only a minority government has saved the day. Democracy only seems to truly work with minority governments. Otherwise it is an elected dictatorship. The saddest fact is that the Liberals were a better alternative than the Conservatives. If that bunch of bastards were in power we would be arming space and ducking bullets in Iraq.
