There are almost no copperheads in Florida, Rapaire. There are a handful over in the Tallahassee area in the Appalachicola/Chattahoochee River drainage, but none here in northwestern Florida. There is a Florida subspecies of cottonmouth water moccasin whose juvenile coloring is similar to a copperhead which leads to a lot of misidentification among those who don't have the same fetish for Peterson's Field Guides that I have.
