Well, if you're in Europe Yankee means you're American.
If you're in the US, Yankee means you're from north of the Mason Dixon Line
If you're north of the Mason Dixon line, Yankee means you're from New England.
If you're in New England, Yankee means you're from Maine, Vermont, or Massachusetts.
If you're in Massachusetts, Yankee means you'r from Boston
If you're in Boston, Yankee means you're from Beacon Hill.
If you're from Beacon Hill, the further up the hill you go, the more Yankee you be.
