Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Homer and Jethro
There are a large number (at my count approx 50 so far!) of their songs whose words (or partial words) appear in the Mudcat here!!! - most of them buried in threads (often in the middle of something else not always simple related!) and some of them don't seem to show up easily in simple searches, but trying to track them down is what seems to spur duplication. Some of the songs are duplicated many times in many different threads.

I am currently trying to work on 'definitive' sets of words of what is in the Mudcat - i.e. not just 'vaguely remembered' but compared with actual recordings - not always an easy task.

There currently seems to be about 50-60 Mudcat threads I have identified so far that have some mention of some of their output.

The best alleged list of their records I found so far admits that it is not complete!!! - it lists some albums with no identification of what was on them... there seems to be about 200+ tracks - some releases, some different versions - some performed at different venues which have slightly different audience interaction etc, some purely instrumental, some catalogue label numbers are known to be wrong, etc.

Unless someone decides that someone (else) is in charge of the project, it will continue on as now with various people contributing bits and pieces as we get time... :-)

I don't think the world will end if we don't get them all...
