BTW read my post again, I was referring to permissions. I didn't say there's no need to pay the PRS, I said there's no requirement to obtain the permission of the composer to use his/her/their song, provided the production is for a limited quantity only (i.e. no more than 500 copies total). There's still a fee to pay the PRS (and therefore ultimately the composer) - depends on the number of copies and the length of the CD (time).
