Em is purple, D is brown , G is yellow, C is pillarbox red, Bm is blue etc.

Thus Kid on the Mountain goes purple-red-yellow-red etc.


If you put a capo on the 2nd fret and play the chord shapes for Em-C-G-C, do you still get purple-red-yellow-red or do you get the colours associated with F#m-D-A-D ?
