I'm glad to be informed of anyone's recordings. That doesn't mean I'm buying any of them, but if there's ever a chance of listening to a sound clip or two, however brief, I'm always glad to satisfy my curiosity by giving a listen.

If someone I already know and like ~ based on reading their contributions to various discussions ~ is engaging is self-promotion, I don't consider it shameless and I'm glad to keep up with what they're doing. I'm even glad to know when they're appearing at some venue far across the ocean, where I'll probably never step foot.
