That's what I did, too.
Why reinvent the wheel?
But come to think of it, why not? Maybe we could come up with a better wheel, one in which the "wheelness" in more pronounced. After all, there is little in the current wheel which is new, and we should all think "outside the box" these days. I mean, the old concept of pi, which is so critical to determining the current concept of the wheel, is so, so, BCE. Why not simply round it off to three, as has been proposed in the legislatures of both Texas and Indiana -- the additional digits could be carried over into a "pi bank" and used for other things, like balancing the nation debt or for use when we run short of numbers. And yes, we will run short of numbers -- the Congressional Budget Office predicts that we will use the last number somewhere around 10:12 a.m., October 7, 2094 unless we make changes now. One obvious answer is to bank extra numbers, like the decimals on pi, or the "carries" in addition. Just the latter would go far to preventing the coming number shortage:
66 + 43 currently = 109. But if the number bank were in place, 66 + 43 would = 9, and 100 digits would be banked for future use.
Simple and effective!
