I have joined a karaoke forum and have downloaded Van Basco Karaoke player. It is a free download and displays the words while the midi file is playing. It darkens the particular word that is being sung during each note of the song. It is a lot of fun. I am now in the process of putting together lyrics and midis for different folk songs. By displaying the lyrics on a monitor during a performance, it will facilitate the audience singing along with me. I think that this is the best innovation that has come along in the recent past.
