Sonnet 07/05/04                            CMX

In blossoms heart a simple beauty finds,
With shape and color to attract the eye.
In these gardens, thought of my muse reminds
That hope might pleasure lend, to tears deny.
Breeze, perfumed, soothes a weary heart, to ease
The aches of everyday. Still, I would share
All I have found: A calm, to senses please,
And thoughts of one whose dreams are key to Care.
Sun filtered by new leaves provides a light
To show desire: A shade of bright that lends
More than a hint of longing to my sight.
Do dreams offer a future when tears end?
I plant desire, and wait for dream to grow,
But will I ever touch of my muse know?
