Sonnet 14/06/04                     CMXVIII

How can I reach to muse, to fill her night
With pleasure, and with joy? What can I give
To show how much I want to hold her tight,
And how I wish for all my dreams to live?
How can I win from muse all I desire,
To hold her in my arms, and kiss her skin?
What should I say, to tell her of the fire
That thought of her lets my emotions win?
How can I show the dreams that fill my sleep
With visions of her smile? She is the one
I want to give my soul, and let her keep
This heart, that has feelings of love begun.
She is too far to touch, but I must try:
Without dream of her kiss, my hopes would die.
