I have no doubt at all that many of the current policies being advocated (and practised) by the Labour Party, would have been dismissed as the rantings of right wing lunatics by Ted Heath thirty five years ago. It is a very dangerous illusion to imagine that things could not possibly get worse though. When you are confronted by two evils, it is always your duty to choose the lesser in the short term and in the long term try to improve the situation.
