I've been using a Yamaha APX6N (Nylon srung) to gig with for a few years now and I'm delighted with the amplified tone of this "budget" guitar.
Unplugged it doesn't compare to a real classical guitar but it's still nice to play, well balanced, with a manageable neck width for us psuedo-classical players!
I've pointed a few begginers to Yamaha "entry level" guitars, they seem to be good, straight-from-the-box instruments.
