Ratzinger comes with baggage. I heard on the news this morning that he was a Nazi guard in his youth. To be fair, he said that he was forced into doing it but it still proves to be baggage nonetheless.

Baggage that the church probably doesn't need nor want at this point.


I'm just throwing this out for discussion but has anyone heard of the catholic belief that the last pope (as in the pope during the 2nd coming of christ) will be an evil pope? I've heard this from several sources but have no catholic friends that are well versed in their religion to know about that. I've even heard that the evil pope will be what the bible refers to as the false prophet which will share the stage with the antichrist. I don't know what to think about that. Has anybody else heard that?
