Thread Name: The Mudcat Barn
Subject: RE: The Mudcat Barn
And the TV version of Wild Bill Hickok had him riding on "Buckshot" while his comical sidekick, played by Andy Devine, rode "Nellie". Does anyone remember the name of what Roy Rogers' TV sidekick, Pat Brady, rode?

Speaking of riding, if anyone wants to ride, just head over to that building over next to the corral. We just built it to replace the old tack room and horse stalls. It contains 9 stalls and a big, beautiful tack room. Just go in and grab a saddle and the rest of the gear and head on down to the corral. Take your pick from any of the horses we've got turned out there. They all are friendly but spirited. But keep a good eye on that big roan. She's a bit moody and is likely to give you much more of a ride than you bargained for.

Now, I am going to head over to the trout pond and see if I can catch enough of them to share with you fine people. Meanwhile, if any of you could be trying to remember a recipe, I'd be willing to let you give it a go.

Before I go though, I'll grab me a mug of that dark Sumatran coffee and sit here a bit while I sort out my midges. By the way, if anyone wants to join me, they're welcome. Or if a different kind of fishing is your thing, there's a real good spot for catching bass down there where Mudcat Creek runs into the lake. There's some extra tackle in that closet over there to the right of the rear door to the kitchen.

Now, that reminds me...I know a bunch of songs about sitting next to the water or paddling on it, but not a single one comes to mind about freshwater fishing. Anybody know one?
