Thread Name: Mudcat Radio Making a Comeback?
Subject: RE: Mudcat Radio Making a Comeback?
It took me a while to get the message that Mudcat Radio in the past had a video as well as an audio component ~ and then soon learned that video might not be feasible this time around. Oh well ~ either way, it's certainly worth reinstating.

Is it too late to add my comments about the "Sampson" sound clip? I read that misanthropic criticism ("lose the girl singer," etc.) before I listened to the song, so then I had to hear what it sounded like.

To my ear, the lead guitar and vocal (presumably one and the same person ~ Max?) was damn near perfect and well-qualified to "lead" the group effort. The harmonies and the rest of the gang were inconsistent, excellent here and there, groping around for the right notes in other spots, but enthusiastic and spirited throughout. Lots of fun, in other words.

Sounded like the kind of jam I would really love to join. If it were perfectly polished, it would be intimidating, but the way it is, I can feel that (A) I could add something, maybe a riff or a harmony better than anyone has come up with yet, while on the other hand (B) if I were to screw up by reaching a bit too far, it wouldn't be the end of the world; I'd be just a part of the group, just like everyone else.
