I think I shall have toi take the time and trouble of transcribing the lyrics of "When this lousy war..etc" that I have and post it here.
I am interested/intrigued that the melody was used not only for the land troops but those sailing the main Barry. It would be really nice to be able pinpoint the origins of these various adaptations.. i.e. D.Day Dodgers (sung to Lilly Marlene).. history has provided an author for this.. if only it were possible to do so for other songs
And I'm still in hope of finding the chords and more info behind "Peter's Private Army".. perhaps I should have been more specific in my thread title.. mega SEG Mary..
