I like electric blues so I play Gibson guitars (go figure) ... but I bought the Gibsons because they were representative of models that were unusual (sort of) for Gibson:

1. Gibson Firebird (only neck-thru-body that Gibson makes)
2. Gibson Les Paul DC plus (only 24 fret neck Gibson makes)
3. Gibson SG Classic (for the P-90 pickups)
4. Rickenbacker 650 Dakota (for the "Rick" sound and neck-thru-body tone)
5. Epiphone GS-400 Custom (for 'experimental' purposes i.e. changing out pickups; upgrading tuners; etc...bought it mostly for the neck and body)
6. Epiphone Wildkat (for hollow-body rockabilly and the Bigsby tremolo)
7. Washburn 7-string (forget the model - GS7 or something ...for 7-string explorations...pretty decent guitar for el cheapo price)
8. Guild D-4 (for acoustic playing)
9. Cheap Hondo classical guitar (for nylon)
10. Kramer acoustic/electric (for mobility ...practice sessions on the go)
