Gadzooks. I thought I liked spiders.

I guess I'll give up the notion that the brown recluse is found in Alaska. The Hobo Spider is no doubt the spider that bit my friend. The sore on that finger looks just like the sore on my friend's calf, although I realize the article says that the effects are the same in both species' bites.

I believe that all the doctor gave her was benadryl- but I may be mistaken. I know it took a long time for it to heal.

On the photo album of spiders, brucie, the one that looked most like what I saw in Virginia is 'Eyarcha'. I'm not sure though; the spider I saw was facing me and raised up on its legs.
