why oh why did I EVER begin reading this thread?? I feel ill now. Must be salmonella!

When I was a teenager circa 1978, I used to wait the counter at a Soda Fountain and Lunch Counter. We had a customer who always ordered grilled peanut butter, bacon, and mayonaise sandwiches. BARF! He ate that 6 days a week. (We were closed sundays) He'd wash it down with a Cherry Phosphate. At least he tipped well. He owned the local laundromat. Why I even remember any of this is beyond me. I can probably recall the regular orders of all my old customers if I put my mind to it. Another guy who came in every day liked Grilled Peanut Butter, Jelly and Mustard sandwiches on Rye. Blech.
