That figures. I think my parents still have the album so I'll check next time I visit.There were a lot of recordings of Maritime and particularly Newfoundland songs from the fifties--by Ed McCurdy, Alan Mills, Omar Blondahl, Tom Kines and so on. Looking back in them now, there are a lot of songs currently being sung by us now middle-aged folkies in pretty much the same versions as on these records--but also some great songs such as Bachelor's Hall that have fallen out of currency. (Every time I think I find a forgotten gem though, Ian Robb puts it on his next recording..)
