I think Charlie's version of "Splish Splash" out sold Bobby Darin's original version , in the UK. Charlie also had a hit with Frankie Ford's "Sea Cruise". Indeed, at the time, I thought Charlie really got a great " over the top" handle on rock'n'roll. Don't know what I'd make of it 40 odd years on!
