Sonnet 15/12/04                            CMLXII

I seek for guidance from my muse, to know
How much of all my love she might desire;
What of my dreams might give delight, or show
The longings that dreams of her eyes inspire.
How might I learn her dreams, save by the time
We share in conversation? Should I dare
To think my lines might some of passions mime,
Or only hope words show how much I care?
When will I know her heart, to see if all
Of dream might ever be? She is the goal
Of all desires, but more than longings call
Dreams to her: She is one who reaches soul.
How can I find reason to hold her near?
All I can hope is that she'll my heart hear.
