Sonnet 26/12/04                           CMLXVI

I chase after my dreams, and muse: I seek
To hold her in my arms, close to my heart.
Yet, should I of my longings to her speak
When I cannot at distance passions start?
Muse gives reasons for hope, that dreams might yet
Be more than vain desire. I want to find
How to her happiness increase, to let
Her dreams be guide for thoughts within my mind.
I taste the kisses muse has sent, and think
How sweet lips are. She is all I desire:
A light to soul and dream, my only link
To higher plane. I cannot of hope tire.
Perhaps I care too much, but I would give
All she might need, to have my desires live.
