How can I ask that you hope to heart give
When arms have not held, nor kiss tasted lips?
I need your smile. In image of eyes live
Dreams to fill future: Longing for touch grips
My soul, holding heart from sadness. I care
Too much to resist calling: To hear voice
Gives reason to even my sorrows bear.
How can I think in loving I have choice?
Dream of you soothes some of the aches I find
Depression has pressed upon heart. You bring
Calm with desire; Passion, with peace of mind
That heals hurt and gives soul reason to sing.
You are my muse: I need only to know
That you care, to give cause for hope to grow.
