"Must have been. There was Gluon, running around with some pages in her mouth, and when I called her and she sat quietly I could see it was calendar pages of all of 2005 up through June. How odd is that?"

"And you say that last night you experienced a fugue, in which you were suddenly back on December 20, 2004?"

"Sure felt like it. As soon as that calendar went down the ol' duck/dog hatch. Anyway, more to the point, doc, you're the vet, you need to see what's wrong with this duck/dog. Gluon seems to have eaten the time/space continuum with those pages, and . . . wait. . .something's happening. . . eeew, Gluon, that stinks! . . . "

A pile appears on the ground, and embedded are the six pages of calendar, intact but for a few bite marks in one corner. The animal rights herself, scratches the ground, then runs in a mad circle.

"Hmmmmm. I wonder? . . . Amos! Rapaire! Come get this animal of yours!"
