I feel a song coming on......

There's a tavern in the town where I mean to settle down
Where the grub and liquor always really swell,
Organised by Liz the Squeak since the middle of this week
It's that Little Mudcat Nouveau where I dwell

Well the first night I was there was a night beyond compare,
Every one had come to party, you could tell,
And the shag-pile on the floor just kept growing more and more
At the Little Mudcat Nouveau where I dwell.

Well the chicken on the raft was drinking pints of draught,
And the eggs were growing legs I have to tell
And the lobster thermidors were attacking lady's drawers,
At the Little Mudcat Nouveau where I dwell.

Well a new Bartender came, and Jack Daniels was his name,
He was serving all the ladies at great speed,
Some guy muttered with a snicker,'Does that mean he's a hard liquor?'
And several girls immediately agreed

Well the sheep were running wild and the cats were getting riled,
'Cos The Sages dog was running round as well,
And the queue outside the door it went on for evermore,
At the Little Mudcat Nouveau where I dwell.

I really must break myself of the habit, better go now.....
