Not generally a spirit drinker myself, but el_punkoid_nouveau and I went to a tasting of bourbons and they were wonderful..we ended up buying a bottle of Fighting Cock and it's the only spirit (apart, perhaps from Navy rum) that I can drink straight...and do.....often.....

Diet anything is a no-no....added synthetic sweetners, which all diet drinks contain, are a REALLY bad idea. You wait and remember my words...in another year or two it will be all the headlines etc that sweetners are terrible for you and do all sorts of horrible damamge. If you MUST drink non-alcoholic, the best thing is either water, or water with a squeeze of lemone juice, preferably with ice.

Now...back to the brandy alexanders..(Hmmm, there's a thought...wonder what a bourbon alexander is like?)...what are we singing at the moment?
