Aha, just spotted this!

Yes, I sing it (sober & not-so-sober) with those two verses Clinton & have had a fair few discussions with Scots & Irish personages alike. Those extra verses appear to be Irish in origin whereas the originals in the DT (using Mother, not Father) see, to be Scottish. I'm almost convinced......
