Thread Name: Old Songs Festival 2005 review; HOT!
Subject: RE: Review: Old Songs: 2005 HOT!
I felt like I saw folks very briefly. Partly because I was in a restless state of mind, and partly because I had to keep moving in order to not be eaten by bugs. I did a lot of dancing, fiddling and listening. loved the Songs of Conviviality, Barrymans and Michael Cooney, Twa, Guy Davis and Nightingale in particular. I was sorry not to hear more of Danny Spooner (why was he always on at the same time as Twa and Nightingale?)
and often wished that I could be three or four places at once.

Got a lovely pair of spiral earrings from Don and enjoyed hearing about his beautiful and curious designs. Saw lots of folks very briefly, sweated off about 10 lbs and had a great time in general.

I'm so glad that this has become an annual event for my friend Pam and me. The ride down and back is our main catch up time for the entire year (aside from a breakfast date or two) Hard to believe we used to sing together about once or twice a week. We are going to try to start that up again. A product of the long visits on the ride there and back.

Well, off to play fiddle.
