We did probably a pretty good variety of stuff...lots of Latin hymns...this was in Longview, Washington...at the time..50's...it was a missionary parish of Ireland so we got a lot of Irish nuns and priests..I went to St. Mary's High School in Toledo, WA and we had truly incredible singing there..mostly out of another hymnal though..by universal, I mean if you were in Uganda you could communicate with someone in Poland or Italy by using words out of your missal...even if you weren't actually proficient in the language...well, this was before the days of electronic translaters...
