Ready? Here we go then ....

I saw my (ex) husband in a vivid dream several months before we met physically. In the dream, I was at the kitchen window watching my dad out in the front yard. He was shaking hands with a nice-looking young blond man, a stranger. Like they were making some sort of 'deal'.   And as they shook hands, suddenly the whole yard was full of beautiful, vibrant red and gold flowers, swaying in the breeze. IT just took my breath away!   Tulips, they were .... and there were no tulips in the gardens at the time.   In fact, I'd never planted a tulip in my life ...

Well, when I actually met him later that year, something felt SO familiar. Like deja vu. But it wasn't till a couple months later, as he was telling me stories about his Dutch family and background that I remembered that vivid dream about my dad, the young man, "the deal" and the tulips.

Hmmmm .... it's a couple decades and a divorce later now. And I've since found out (from the usual unreliable sources) that we'd known each other in a couple past incarnations. We'd only been acquaintances before, though.

In hindsight, we'd probably been MUCH better off leaving it at that!   ;-)
