Subject: RE: Rivelin Valley Folk Day, Sheffield
What a brilliant day - congratulations to the organisers. In a fantastic setting, overlooking the beautiful Rivelin Valley, this was an all day outdoor/indoor event (choices between singarounds and guest performers) that attracted well over a hundred people at any time during the day and evening. Singarounds were very well organised, well attended and well received by an enthusiastic audience. Guest performers Napper & Bliss, and Ron Truman Border provided a healthy blend with some very talented local folk regulars (clubs run every Wednesday apparently).

Singarounds were very well hosted with just the right amount of pause between performers, an appropriate level of banter & humour, and proper audience respect/participation given. Considering the numbers crammed into the main bar of the pub, this was nothing short of amazing! The beers were great too.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and I was amazed at the good behaviour of families with young children, showing proper respect for the performers (not often you can say that these days!)

Many congratulations to all concerned
Were any mudcatters there? - What did you think??
