The version of Let It Rain And Let It Pour that I remember according to Walter Donaldson's Web Page under his Biography he wrote this song in 1925 when he was a song writer for Ervin Berlin.He was born 1893 and died 1974 and wrote over 600 songs for various Artists.I can't find the lyrics he wrote but they have to be on the internet somewhere.I firmly believe the first time I heard this tune was in 1931 or 1932 when The Carter Family was touring the USA in their rickity old bus and they came to this little town in Idaho and their drum and spoon player sang this song.I hope one of you more experienced mudcatters will use your expertise and come up with the original 1925 words.Louie Roy
