Not to make points over again -- as to Chico and Bill D's points, I gotta admit, with Billy Martin in the beer commercial, "I feel strongly both ways."
I will only say that I, who was fatally imbued with popsongs at a prerational age (Toot Toot Tootsie was among them, as well as Five Foot Two, Put Your Shoes On Lucy, etc....) that, being an old purist crank myself, I have come to Digitrad over and over looking for ~rock bottom traditional~ ballads and songs as rigorously pure as time has left them, and I count on Digitrad for that.
But, oddly enough, I have also come to Digitrad pantin' to find various weird old pop songs I love that have slipped through the cracks everywhere else--not on Lester Levy, not on American Memory, not on the various lyrics sites either--and I have found those here as well.
I'm glad of both, and I don't think the fact that DT is a repository of some old fun pop stuff makes it any less the wonderful TRADITIONAL source it primarily is.
Thanks, guys, for both.
