Thread Name: BS: beards and bards
Subject: RE: BS: beards and bards
Beards.... ah yes,,,, been through that stage many a time.... reason? sheer laziness..... that's all.... i have my beard now, because I HATE shaving.... If I use a blade, i have to shave every day or it looks messy, if i use the electic razor, twice a day..... I HATE SHAVING.... All that time wasted....

So right now my beard is of the short style, although, much to my daughter's shagrin, I am not trimming the cheeks or the neck (If I have the beard because i hate shaving why would I want to keep trimming those little bits every day?) I do keep it short (see picture on the BBC pages), however, there was a time.... a few years ago.... in my younger days..... working on the festival circut... that I let my beard go for 1.5 years without touching it.... the results can be viewed here (i hope)... this was about 1981 with some folks at the Vancouver Children's festival.... The folks with me are part of the Flying Fruit Fly Circus from Albury/Wondonga in Aussie.... It was a great place to store pencils etc.... Of course that disappeared when I got married .....

I always remember a comment from university days.... Had a beard for a while, went home one weekend, shaved the beard, left the moustache.... come back to university on the monday... Your friends looks at you strange saying "There's something different about you.... Not sure what it is...... Did you grow a moustache?"

Observant friends....

What does this all mean? Absolutely nothing... other than I like my beard, it makes my life a whole lot simpler.....
