Yep, today I reached the dreaded 65. I've been sitting here thinking back to try and fathom out where all those years went. I had so many ambitions, what happened to them?

It only seems like yesterday that I was in drainpipe trousers listening to Bill Haley, Everly Bros, Little Richard, a true revolution in music at that time. Then of course Bob Dylan, and I particularly remember Barry McGuire Eve of Destruction, a song that really meant something to me at the time, but we're still here despite that.

I have had so many ups and downs in my life at times I felt like a yo-yo-yo. What have I achieved?, NOTHING!!.

No mansion, No millions in the bank, still struggling to make ends meet, BUT hang on, I have a wonderful son of 3 years and 10 months, (not to mention a wonderful second wife) who makes it all worthwhile when he sits on my knee, puts his arms around my neck and says "I love you Daddy", and again when he says "Daddy can you play some Beach Boys"., That's my boy.

Thinking about it, who needs material things to be happy, sod 'em all I am happy and glad to be alive. Think of the good times we've had and look forward to the many more to come.

Sorry to bore you all but I just felt the need to somehow do something different today.
