The conversation goes like this: "Got your grandson for the day?" "No, he's my very own son." (Gasps of amazement ensue, especially if my 70-year-old hugsband is with me. Do I look THAT old? I'm only 50!)

I wait and watch their faces as they try to puzzle out if Martin was an "accident" -- then, at just the right moment, I add "...I'm a slow learner."
